Tom Gordon MP reaches his 100-day milestone
Tom Gordon MP has now been the MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough for 100 days. He is celebrating the landmark by marking what he has done over the last three months.
Tom has now opened over 1,500 cases over the last 100 days. He has also asked 23 written questions to ministers about a large variety of topics affecting the constituency, and some oral ones.
He has made 70 constituency visits and meetings, including to a Parkinson’s UK Boxing Class, the Army Foundation College, the Harrogate Homeless Project, Knaresborough Town Football Club and many others. There are also many more in the diary to come, and Tom would encourage constituents to get in touch if they know of events going on that they would like to see Tom at.
Commenting, Tom said:
“Time has absolutely flown by. It seems surreal that we are already at the 100 days mark. It has been an absolute privilege and pleasure to be the MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough over the last 100 days. I look forward to the years to come. I will continue to make visits across our towns and villages to see the best we have to offer and understand how I can be helping our communities.
“Thank you to everyone who has talked to me over the past hundred days. It has been a pleasure to meet so many, and I am sure that I will meet many more in the next hundred.
“I am also delighted that we have managed to get on with so many pieces of casework. Over 1,600 cases is quite the achievement, and so I want to thank my team for helping me with so many. I hope that we will continue to be able to help many more people going forward.
“Thank you once again to the voters. It is truly an honour to be MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough.”
