Tom Gordon to run Paris and London Marathons for Charity

Tom Gordon, MP for Harrogate and Knaresborough, is to run both the London and Paris Marathons in the coming weeks, to support local charities. Tom ran the Great North Run in support of St Michael’s Hospice in both 2023 and 2024.
Tom is looking to raise £2,000 by running the marathons, to be split between two local charities. He would like to gather nominations from constituents for charities that he could raise money for.
Tom is a keen runner, and regularly attends Harrogate’s weekly parkrun, held on the Stray. He is looking forward to the marathons, and to raising money for charity.
Commenting, Tom said:
“I’m glad to have this opportunity to raise money and awareness for local charities. The work they do is absolutely invaluable to our community, and I am very pleased to be able to support them in this way. If you wish to nominate a local charity working in the community, please do reach out.
“Running is a great passion of mine, and it’s great to have the opportunity to use that to raise money for some of our fabulous charities in Harrogate and Knaresborough.
“I look forward to hearing back from constituents, and raising money and awareness for local charities through these marathons.”
